Tree Audits

Although the person with complete disregard for the Tree Bylaw is rare and we all try our best during construction to protect the trees on and adjacent our site, none of us are perfect.  Sometimes mistakes happen and a tree impact that shouldn’t have occurred (or wasn’t permitted) does.   Whether it’s from access, excavations, or branch impacts, when a tree impact that wasn’t permitted on the site occurs the City may request a Tree Audit report be prepared.

The Tree Audit Report will provide impact analysis to the tree and provide all necessary information to satisfy the Municipalities requirements as provided, including (but not limited to):

  • Inventory and assessment of condition of the trees of concern
  • Assessment and analysis of the impact that occurred
  • Expected future condition of the trees of concern
  • Recommendations to minimize impacts, or provide corrective measures (as applicable/possible)
  • Drawings or Details of the impact area
  • Photos

If you’ve got a stop work order on your site from a tree impact call GLN today, and we’ll help you satisfy you Tree Audit requirements so you can get your construction project back on track.
